NECA Electrical Contractor Blacklisted IBEW 124 Members & Book 2 Wiremen In 1970
GREAT NORTHERN ELECTRIC
53 Year Old BLACKLIST
Proves Ongoing Decades of Kansas City
NECA Contractor Labor Problems & Strife
An estimated 53 year old Family Heirloom was obtained originally by an IBEW 124 Electrician upon presenting his
JOB REFERRAL
to the Contractor, who the union workers had mockingly nicknamed
"GREAT NUTHIN"
About 1970, upon viewing the valid IBEW # 124 Job Referral, the contractor employee in the office observed on the
"DO NOT HIRE" BLACKLIST
that Howard Leavitt was to be "spun" be rejected.
But Harold "Curley" Leavitt was not rejected, Harold got the job.
There never was any Howard Leavitt,
the Great Nuthin contractor misspelled Harold's, Howard's,
"Who's on First?" name.
Harold Leavitt proceeded to Five Finger Discount (steal)
the CONTRACTOR BLACKLIST right off the desk
when the office person left the room.
Harold made copies of the pilfered list, and then he handed out copies of the Great Nuthin Blacklist to all of the Electricians on the job site,
& at the IBEW 124 Union Meeting Hall.
Wiremen Electricians were so Proud, they were whooping & hollering especially the ones that had earned * * * asterisks next to their names.
Many warm thanks go out to those souls who are mentioned on this list.
